Senior Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Business Partner

Position Summary: 

Do you want to be a true partner with the business to bring top talent into the organization?  We enable Achaogen’s mission through delivery of top diverse talent.  We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Business Partner with experience in biotechnology. You would partner with, but not limited to, Research & Development, Medical Science, Product Portfolio, Clinical Data & Operations, Statistical Programming, Regulatory, Quality, Microbiology, Biostatistics and/or Tech Ops roles. You will be a key partner with the functional business leaders.

 

Essential Functions:

People:

  • Build and maintain relationships with complex customer groups and business leaders; serve as the subject matter expert for the customer group.
  • Partner with internal and external customers to identify trends, propose strategies, resolve issues, and influence to achieve goals.
  • Exceed customer expectations through serving as a consultant to promote a customer-centered culture.
  • Provide hiring managers direction and consultation on strategic and recruitment trends, best practices, legal developments, and benchmark comparison. 
  • Provide positive candidate experience throughout the process with timely communication, including dispositions and offers.
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functions on recruiting, programs, and projects.

Performance:

  • Manage full cycle recruiting for multiple, complex searches, creating innovative sourcing strategies and engagement to bring the best talent to each role.
  • Develop and execute fully comprehensive sourcing plans, analyzing requirements to determine target profile needs and matches.
  • Identify and achieve continuous improvement opportunities, best practices in effectiveness, quality delivery and efficiency.
  • Contribute to Employment Branding, Social Media, and Employee Referral program efforts.
  • Identify and partner with diversity partners. Ensure presenting diverse candidates pool for openings.
  • Recommend and evaluate the effectiveness of advertisement; measure return on investment; and attend recruiting events.
  • Identify and recommend niche advertise and/or write compelling job postings to attract talent.
  • Optimize the Applicant Tracking System and update system in real-time.
  • Leverage and maintain data reports and performance metrics to drive improvements.
  • Support the workforce planning process and ensure proactive approach.
  • Ensures compliance to state/federal employment laws and Achaogen policies and practices for applicant tracking compliance and reporting metrics.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 7-10 years as a Corporate Recruiter, with 2 years supporting similar functional groups: Research & Development, Medical Science, Product Portfolio, Clinical Data, Clinical Operations, Clinical Research, Statistical Programming, Regulatory, Quality, Microbiology, Biostatistics and/or Tech Ops.
  • Experience with high volume of hiring in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical of life-sciences industry.
  • Strong experience in sourcing passive candidates using diverse sources.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Gmail, ATS, research online, Boolean searches and sourcing techniques

 

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or comparable experience.

A demonstrated track record of success in this area is essential; Strong project-management skills and demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaboration / Influencing – Able to build strong, effective relationships with people at all levels, particularly at leadership level; Excellent interpersonal skills/relationship builder and people manager; Ability to consult effectively with senior management; Success in building stakeholder support, alignment and active engagement. Must be a strong business and HR partner.
  • Learning Agility – Uses multiple methods to learn new things quickly, asks for and acts on feedback to improve; adapts quickly to change.
  • Demonstrated customer-service orientation and consultative mindset.
