Business Analyst

Position Summary:                     

The Business Analyst is responsible for the tracking and control of assigned Oracle Fusion modules and projects, serving as a liaison between Finance and technical resources to manage the development of the ERP system functionality, system upgrades, system modifications, and day-to-day problem analysis, issue tracking, and resolution. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the successful candidate will provide project coordination, functional expertise, and contribute to improvements and enhancements for mission-critical, enterprise-wide information systems.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Steward the Oracle Fusion solution, supporting to ensure integrity of existing functionality and continued relevance through future enhancements.
  • Act as first line response to end user requests for assistance.
  • Triage system administration among Oracle Fusion, Adaptive FP&A, and other essential business applications.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with functional users and IT staff to resolve system and application issues, and to ensure proper business system, application process, functions and procedure documentation.
  • Serve as Finance’s single point of contact to IT-ERP service delivery partners.
  • Design a detailed description of user needs.
  • Interface with technical resources to develop, test and document applications to implement and maintain an operational system.
  • Develop end-user reports using report writer and query tools.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant Finance and/or Human Resources business systems application experience.
  • Project management experience with broad understanding of financial processes.
  • Talent to establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships, and provide high levels of customer service.
  • Familiarity with enterprise system IT support processes.
  • Life Science or regulated industry experience.
  • Understanding of SOX, FDA or similar IT system regulations and requirements.

 

Preferred Education:

  • BS/MS in Accounting, Information systems or equivalent.

 

Additional Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical users.
  • Committed to the values of integrity, accountability, transparency, scientific rigor and drive.
  • Current US work authorization required.
